SOLUTION 05 Fund Management Process becomes platform. Platform becomes scale.

The Asset Management Platform. Run the entire fund on one disciplined system.

The Q-Lana Asset Management Platform is end-to-end. Origination, due diligence, disbursement, monitoring, collection, portfolio management, reporting. Asset-level accounting, valuation, NAV production, invoicing, covenant and KYC monitoring, ESG and impact tracking. One operating system. Configurable to your fund structure, not the other way around.

Built on a proprietary low-code platform, the system is flexible and adaptable to the specific needs of a fund manager’s business. Large parts are configured without coding, which makes initial deployment faster and ongoing changes cheaper. Cloud-based or on-premise. Multi-currency, multi-product. Debt, equity, convertibles, and alternative products supported in one place.

Twelve module families cover the full operating discipline. The deal team and the LP team see the same fund, in real time, every day.

The twelve module families

End-to-end. One platform. One source of truth.

Each module is a discipline. Each one is configurable. Together they cover the full lifecycle from sourcing to exit, plus the back-office activities a professional fund needs to operate.

01 · Investment Process & Workflow

Manage product workflows from sourcing to collection. Flexible workflows for various products, automated rules or human decisions, parallel and sequential paths, loops, and decision points. Investment memos and meeting minutes online and printable.

02 · Contact Management

KYC and AML reviews referencing external information providers. Demographic and financial assessment, including personal income, expenses, and external credit scores. Business and personal relationships including family ties, employment, and shareholdings.

03 · Rating & Scoring

Statistical and heuristic models incorporating internal and external data. Multiple rating versions for new client assessment, decision support, and monitoring. Fully configurable based on data availability, calibratable over time. Q-LIA can co-design.

04 · Facility & Loan Information

Tracking for loans, equity, and convertible notes: amount, type, terms, fees, conditions. Multi-currency payment plans. Covenant monitoring. Configurable pre-disbursement checks. Collateral linking. Loan pricing model.

05 · Accounting & Valuation

Planned and Expected Cashflow tables. Manual and automated entries for accrual and debt service. Invoices, payment plans, account statements. IFRS 9 valuation procedures. NPV and ECL calculation. Automated valuation memos.

06 · Monitoring & Early Warning

Advanced covenant management for internal and external financial and non-financial covenants. Qualitative and quantitative credit risk monitoring. Frequency determined by rating, exposure, or watchlist. Collection and special servicing integrated. External portal for borrower information submission.

07 · Collateral Management

Track location, conditions, registration documents. Active management with monitoring, valuation, and haircuts. Document management and monitoring dashboard. Flexible linking of collateral to one or more facilities.

08 · Collaboration & Communication

Cross-team collaboration for general and transaction-specific requests. Access rights for internal and external parties. Task creation and management. Client communication through the platform. Borrower portal for document exchange.

09 · Reporting

Workflow reporting including impact reporting. Exposure reporting: performing and non-performing loans, FX exposure. Advanced analytics on long-term data for deeper insight. LP-ready report generation.

10 · Document Management

Intelligent storage and search for external documents in standard forms. Document checklists by loan type. Generate documents from templates with customer-specific information: term sheets, loan contracts, invoices, account statements, reminders.

11 · Knowledge Management

Collect and analyze internal and external qualitative and quantitative information. Contextual intelligence over existing data. Single view of all available data for analytics, including business, marketing, and risk management purposes.

12 · Dashboards & Rollups

Dashboards for Portfolio Management and Loan Administration. Roll-up functions for funds. Search, user management, external user access, messaging, and touchpoint tracking. The deal team and the LP team see the same fund.

What makes the platform special

Proprietary low-code architecture. Digitization becomes an agile tool that grows with the manager rather than constrains them. Q-Lana is the box of Lego that gets assembled to your specifics, not a packaged product that forces you to fit its shape.

End-to-end coverage targeting the needs of modern fund managers, including specific tools for regulatory compliance, impact measurement, valuation, accounting, and reporting. Broad asset coverage. Investor structure (LP/GP) handled natively. Continuous functionality expansion. Easy integration with other tools the fund already uses.

Pricing & deployment

SaaS, with the precision of a bespoke implementation.

A configuration fee covers the initial implementation, scoped to the overall effort. The annual service charge is calculated based on estimated assets under management. Hosting is charged separately, and we collaborate to identify the best hosting solution. General platform updates are included; configuration changes after go-live are budgeted as required.

Implementation timeline depends on scope. A typical fund deployment lands in three to six months. Q-LIA can lead the implementation work; Managed Administration can operate the platform until the in-house team takes over.

What sits underneath, and what sits next to it

The platform plus the disciplines.

One platform, end to end

The deal team and the LP team see the same fund. In real time. Every day.

This is the platform we wished existed when we ran portfolios ourselves. Now it does.
