Over the past weeks, Q-Lana hired four new team members for its office in Kigali. Gretta Rutamu and Yvon Uwibambe joined as Implementation and Training Specialists, Daniel Ishimwe is joined as Head of Sales and Business development and Theoneste Ndayisenga. The hires are strong signal for Q-Lana’s business growth and a commitment to the financial sector in Rwanda.

Daniel Ishimwe
Head of Sales and Business Development
Daniel Ishimwe helps startups/businesses turn ideas into feasible, desirable services/products and turn those into viable, profitable, and scalable businesses using different tools and techniques. He has 6+ years of experience in Entrepreneurial leadership, Project management, Sales- and Business development.
As Head of Sales and Business Development at Q-Lana, he works with the team to define sales goals and their execution and business development strategies and activities from marketing, fundraising and spotting new talents, partnership opportunities, etc. For Daniel, creating sustainable solutions to impact the world is the most thrilling part of his career.
Out of office, Daniel enjoys music/singing, home cooking, deep intellectual conversations, traveling, reading good books and participating in adrenaline-rushing activities.
Gretta Rutamu
Implementation and Training Specialist
Gretta Rutamu joined Q-Lana in November 2022 as an Implementation and Training Specialist. She has previously worked at the Bank of Kigali as a Corporate Loan Officer and Customer Engagement Ambassador.
She is an enthusiastic and well-organized professional with over 5 years of valuable hands-on experience in the lending process, sales & marketing, as well as digital banking services.
Gretta supports the Implementation of our platform and makes sure it meets the client’s needs and expectations
In her spare time, she practices sports, and she also enjoys cooking for her family and practice sort of strategy games.
Yvon Uwibambe
Implementation and Training Specialist
Yvon Uwibambe joined Q-Lana in November 2022 as an Implementation and Training Specialist. He has a background in software development and music education.
Yvon is experienced in system analysis, development, and implementation. He is specialized in capacity building.
He is an enthusiastic and resourceful professional in software implementation and training. He ensures that the platform works to the satisfaction of our clients and that the client’s staff can leverage its potential.
Theoneste Ndayisenga
Senior Expert Risk and Data Analytics
Theoneste joined Q-Lana as a Senior Expert in Risk and Data Analytics.
His wish is to pursue a career in a data science-related field working with the financial sector. He enjoys experimenting with datasets to give them meaning.
Theoneste graduated with a Master of Science in Data Science – Actuarial Science (African Center of Excellence in Data Science-UR) and a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from WorldQuant University.
During his studies, Theoneste delved into financial industries, creditworthiness, and lending risk. He completed Big Data For Development training and holds an IBM Data Science Professional Certificate. He is an Assistant Lecturer for Business Analytics at Kepler College.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing with the datasets, reading, and playing football.
